Imagine

Let your mind wonder and roam. When you imagine one can live in a huge mansion, not just a plain old home. I could live among the filthy rich or with the poorest bums. I can fly a rocket to the moon. I can sail to Alaska. I can do what I want to, just take some time to let your mind find what you want to write about. Just do what you want to do and write what you want to write. Expand your mind and you may find a hidden talent you never knew about.

Presidential Campaigning of 2007

The campaigning for the 2008 presidential elections are very intense. The four front runners are in the new everyday. We should be watching and paying attention to their debates and news conferences. We should be listening and watching their every move. We should keep a close watch on the candidate you are leaning toward or supporting. Look ,Watch, Listen and Vote in 2008!

Murder in America

In the USA we have more murders than any other country. We need to do something about this enormous problem!! We have lost so many beautiful, innocent people because of murders. What can be done to end this travesty? I believe we can save our youth, through prayer, education, mentoring, ethics, and love. We should try to help those who want to get out of the projects and the ghetto's. Everyone that lives in these places are not criminals or bad people, some just need a fresh start. We may need 24 hour security and police watch in the crime infested neighborhoods in the problem areas. Get tougher on criminals and even tougher on educating all the youth, especially in heavy crime areas. Let the youths see one can have a nice car, house, and fancy clothes without being a dope dealer or a criminal. You can be rich, wealthy, or well off legally and honestly.

Brother's

I have four brothers. They are all different hues and heights. My brothers are good men. They take care of themselves and their children (some men are just dead beats). My brothers help me whenever they can. I am really close to my brothers, they are my friends. We watch sports together and kick it all the time. Better brothers you will never find. My brothers are smart, dark, and kind. Better brothers you will never find.

Sister's

Sister's are fun. They can be crazy too. I have six sisters and sometimes we get a little rowdy, but we always have a good time together. I used to live by all my sisters and would see them everyday. We live farther apart now and I miss them. There was always a little drama and we would take our issues right to our Momma. Sisters can be the best of friends, through the thick and the thin. Sister, sister I love you so, and you are my friend forever more.

Winter's Here

The temperature is dropping fast. Pretty soon we won't be able to see the grass, and fall will be a thing of the past. White fluffy snow will be all about and it will be hard to grill out. The ice and cold will soon take over, and then we can sled and slide all around. It is not officially winter, but winter is here. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Madison's Diversity

I think Madison, Wisconsin is not as diverse as it is said to be. When I can go out and not be judged by my skin color, but by my character, knowledge, and ethics. This truly hurts to be treated different because I was born darker. It hurts to be stereotyped into some negative category because of the hue of my skin. I love being my race and I am proud to be me. We are blessed to be here in America. We have been through slavery, wars and terrible, humility. When will we ever be free?

Law and Order

One of my favorite t.v. programs is Law and Order. I like the drama and excitement of the show. I like to watch the detectives work their street savvy and ballistics's to help solve a crime. It is exciting and dangerous all at once. I really like to watch as they go to court against the criminals. I am always ready to watch an episode of law and order, its awesome.

War in Iraq

Why are we at war? Are we fighting for oil, gas, or land? I don't know actually the reason why. I do know that too many lives are being lost. Destruction and death is what these soldiers and Iraqi's see everyday. It is a very sad situation we are in now. Young soldiers and civilians are dying and getting maimed. I pray for a end to this travesty soon. Bring our soldiers home and stop the fighting. Iraq has seemed to be at their own war for years. Let them deal with their own mess of oil and gas. Our soldiers need to come on home and never see the chaos in Iraq again.

White

I looked up white in the dictionary and it was the opposite of black. White is pure and associated with everything good. The two definitions were mind boggling to me. It hurt my feelings to see this, but that is just the way it is.

Black

I looked up black in the dictionary and DID NOT like what I had seen. The definition was very demeaning. Black seems to be everything bad. I do not want to be called black, it is very negative to me. I am not going to mark black on applications any longer.

Hotel Rooms

Hotel rooms seem to be clean, but are not always clean. Next time you stay in a hotel, take a fluorescent light. Turn off the lights and turn on the fluorescent lights, if you see glowing spots .... the room is not clean. Pass it over the bedspread, dressers, and bathroom fixtures, look for glowing spots, if you see some spots ask for the room to be cleaned thoroughly or go to different hotel.

Ethic's

I was surprised when I started a college class and we had to write up a code of ethic's. Ethic's start at home. We are all grown- ups and if we haven't grasped ethics' by now it will be hard to instill them. Ethic's start to be taught in very early years. I fear ethic's is not going to help now, it should already be within you.

Help

Why are we so slow to ask for help? It is sometimes hard to ask, we maybe ashamed. Maybe we are embarrassed on the subject matter. We are sometimes just stubborn and just too hard headed. I know I need help sometimes and just don't ask and I can't say why...???

Friends

Friends come in all shapes, sizes and colors. I feel friends are forever, even if you live far apart. Friends are loyal and true through thick and thin. A friend is there when you are up and when you are down. A friend is always around. A person to laugh with or a shoulder to cry on, a friend won't mind at all. I not only have friends, but I can be a friend too.

Season's Change. Its Fall Yall!

The trees are looking bare, and seem to sadly sway. I look and see leaves of all hues dancing around me. The temperature is a crisp 41 degrees. The wind is whistling softly in my ears. As I treck my way home, I see children jumping in piles of leaves, just laughing and having fun. The scene brought back some great childhood memories. As I continue home, I notice a dark red and orange leaf. The leaf stood out and it seemed to walk along with me. Fall is here, the trees are bare and the leaves are dancing, walking,and blowing everywhere.

America Needs Gun Control !!

Almost everyday in America there are senseless murders. A gun seems easier to get than a state identification card. Guns are everywhere. Yesterday a 19 year old opened fire in an Omaha Nebraska mall, killing eight innocent shoppers. The gunman just took his father's assault rifle and slaughtered eight and then killed himself. And just last week young, talented football star was killed by an unregistered gun in an attempted home invasion. Maybe, there should be coded locks on the high powered rifles for them to be engaged??!!... Something should be done now!!..

Height

Height is a big deal for men. All men want to be tall (at least six feet). Height is not such a big deal for women. Some of us want to be tall and some of us do not. The shorter women would like to be taller and most of the taller women want to be shorter. Height is such an interesting subject we talked about it for half an hour. Are you short or tall? Are you big or small? I wish I was taller so I could have been better at playing basketball.

Life

Life is a blessing to have and keep. We sometimes take it for granted and we should not. Live and cherish each day as the last. Live, laugh and love everyday and always, always pray. God bless me each day and I do always pray.

Learning

Learning is fun. I learn something new everyday. I love to learn . Learning makes me smarter each day. I am glad my brain functions are working for me to learn. I thank God for my intelligence and my willingness to learn.
